David Acer
Best known for his role as Snowflake #2 in Mrs. Vineberg’s Grade 3 production
of "Hey Kids: It's Winter!", David Acer received such rave reviews
as “Brilliant! The finest snowflake of the lot!” and “A natural! I wanted
to catch him on my tongue!” Since then, his eclectic talents as a magician,
writer, actor and comedian have been featured on dozens of television
shows in Canada, Japan, England and the U.S., including A&E’s “Comedy
on the Road,” Sky One’s “The Secret World of Magic,” CBC’s “Just For Laughs,”
MuchMusic’s “As Prime Minister Awards,” CTV’s “Comedy Now,” NHK Japan’s
“F.I.S.M. 2000,” Discovery’s “Grand Illusions,” Global’s “Comedy Tonite,”
HBO’s “Little Lulu,” and ABC’s “America’s Funniest People,” where he placed
second behind a vomiting squirrel. He has appeared 10 times at the Just
For Laughs Festival in Montreal, penned scripts for a variety of award-winning
television shows, written three critically-acclaimed books of original
close-up magic, and he is currently the co-host and co-writer of Discovery
Kids’ Gemini-Award nominated series, Mystery Hunters!
