Just Alice
Tribute to Alice Cooper
Just Alice-- which is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary-- also
started as a happy accident.
"When we started there were only a few tribute acts, to people like
ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones," he said. "We started because
someone booked us as an Alice Cooper tribute and I only found out the
night before the show, so we had to pull one together quickly. I had never
even seen a snake in person, and suddenly they handed me a 10-foot python.

Nick said they are taming down the show for the family crowd at the CNE,
but said it was Cooper's wild side that first drew Nick to his music.
"He was very influential when I was growing up because he is everything
your parents don't want you to see and do," he said with a laugh.
"When he came along he made the Rolling Stones look like choir boys.
When parents today look at Marilyn Manson and ask their kids what they
see in him, it's the same thing."
