"The All-Live, All-Male Tribute to the Material Girl" is undeniably one of the most unique acts coming out of the San Francisco music scene. In fact, they are the "must-see" band in SF this year and are drawing record numbers to their shows. The ensemble is comprised of a tight-knit, well-attired four-piece rhythm section, a handsome and magnetic lead vocalist, and two endearing male backup singers.

Mandonna is a cross between The Full Monty and a musical form of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy...a wickedly funny tribute act that takes female inspiration to a new level. Formed in the spring of 2003, Mandonna was created as a direct response to the recent success of riot-girl tribute bands like AC/DShe, The Iron Maidens, Cheap Chick, and Mistress of Reality.

Mark, lead vocalist, explains the reasoning for creating the group. "We felt if girls could get together and represent the hard core rock and roll male aesthetic, then there was no reason we couldn't present our vision of one of the world's most successful female pop entertainers."
